DAILY POEM 24 OF WHO-KNOWS-HOW-MANY
[EDIT:] Noticed a change in perspective in the refrain (it went from 2nd person to 3rd person), so I edited it to stay constant. [/EDIT]
[EDIT2:] Changing some words around to stop repetition and to make it flow more easily. I'm also changing the original French couplet a bit because I think the newer version sounds better. [/EDIT2]
The last couplet is in French because I don't know any Italian.
Anywho, because my knowledge of French is quite limited compared to a native francophone, I decided to start with the couplet and work the rest of the poem to lead up to the couplet. And I made the 6 free verse lines a refrain to further my point across in this poem.
It was rather interesting to write, and I kinda like this form. What do you guys think?
Type of Poem: La'libertas [link]
Definition: "The La'libertas, a 22-line (4/6/4/6/2) poetic form created by Laura Lamarca. The stanza rules are as follows:
Stanza 1 - rhyme scheme ABBA, 8 syllables per line.
Stanza 2 - Free verse, 6 lines ONLY
Stanza 3 - Rhyme scheme BAAB, 8 syllables per line.
Stanza 4 - Free verse, 6 lines ONLY
Couplet - Italian (Any language acceptable except)
How the La'libertas for got its name is from the word "libertas" which is Latin for "liberty" and "La" is Laura Lamarca's signature."
